National Forum a great success!
The 5th National Malleefowl Forum has been concluded!
Over 140 people came to Dubbo and experienced the excellent Taronga Zoo hospitality.
The event was run over four days and included a one day Adaptive Management workshop, two days of presentations (over 40 of them!) and a day of field trips.
Presentations from scientists, land managers and volunteers made for an extremely interesting mix with subjects including genetics, fire, landscape linking, new technologies like LiDAR and photogrammetry and a lot, lot more.
Despite all of the amazing new information shared at the Forum, it was probably the networking (or chatting) that happened during breaks and the Forum Dinner that was most enjoyable. With people travelling from ACT,NSW, SA, Vic, WA and even New Zealand, there was a lot of catching up to do and a lot of new people to meet.
